How it was
The lab tests respirator masks and inspects equipment for roofers and asbestos removal firms. Expiry dates were not kept in one place, so tests were missed.
Requests came in by phone and email, reports were on paper and invoicing was separate from the tests.
What we built
- 01
A customer portal in Dutch and French: manage employees and equipment, request tests with a price indication, and download reports and certificates.
- 02
A back office to confirm or move requests, with planning based on the lab staff's availability and a link with Google Calendar.
- 03
A tablet flow for the lab technician: the fit test in seven exercises, inspections of masks and equipment, photos and certificates with a QR code to check they are genuine.
- 04
Reminders 30 and 14 days before a test expires, and a reminder for every appointment.
- 05
Invoices are created in Billit with the right numbering and sent through Peppol. The payment status comes back into the portal.
Where a person decides
The planner confirms every request. The lab technician completes every test personally, and an invoice only goes to Billit once someone in the office passes it on.
