How it was
Bills of quantities were drawn up by hand in a spreadsheet: per floor the areas of walls and ceilings, minus the doors and windows.
That work comes back with every quote.
What we built
- 01
The point cloud of a laser scan is read in. Per floor the rooms and their areas are recognised, and doors and windows are listed as a proposal.
- 02
You give corrections in plain language on Telegram, for example: the four walls in bathroom 1 are cement render.
- 03
After your approval, a bill of quantities is created in Excel, with a tab for checks and audit.
- 04
After a second approval, a draft quote is created in Robaws, read back and compared with the bill of quantities down to the quantity.
Where a person decides
Three separate approvals: for the bill of quantities, for the draft quote and for the quote itself. Doors and windows are only deducted after confirmation, and the software cannot send a quote.
