How we handle personal data.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This is a draft that a lawyer still has to review. The text may still change. The Dutch version is the reference.
This page explains which personal data we process when you visit our website, get in touch or book an appointment.
Who is responsible
The controller is Unbusy Consult BV (in formation), email hello@unbusy.be. For questions about this statement or about your data, write to hello@unbusy.be.
Which data we process
Through the contact form we process your name, company, email address, phone number, the number of employees in your company and your message.
Through the automation check or the hours calculator you can give your email address to receive your overview. We then process your email address, your answers and whether you also want to receive the email series.
If you book an appointment through Cal.com, we process your name, email address, the time you chose and whatever you fill in yourself when booking.
If you email or call us, we keep the data you give us yourself.
With every visit our hosting receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and the page requested. These are kept in server logs and serve the operation and security of the site.
For visitor statistics we use Plausible. Plausible works without cookies and does not build a profile of individual visitors.
Why we process it and on what basis
- Answering your question and preparing a call or scan: we do this at your request, to enter into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Scheduling an appointment: the same basis.
- Emailing you the overview from the automation check or the hours calculator: we do this at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Sending you the email series with examples: only if you ticked the box for it, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe in every email.
- Delivering our services to clients: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Invoicing and accounting: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Securing the site and keeping visitor statistics without cookies: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Contacting you again later about an ongoing conversation: our legitimate interest in following up business contacts (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can always object to this.
We do not send newsletters or advertising without your prior consent.
Who we share data with
We only share data with parties that help us run the site and our service. With each of them we have a data processing agreement or we accept their standard agreement.
- Cal.com, for scheduling appointments.
- Resend, for sending and receiving the emails the site generates, such as the notification of a new contact form.
- Vercel, for hosting the website.
- Plausible, for visitor statistics without cookies.
Some of these parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case this happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to other parties, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Email address and answers from the automation check or the hours calculator: up to 24 months after our last contact. If you unsubscribe from the email series, we stop sending it.
- Messages and data from the contact form or a booking: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a client relationship follows.
- Client data: for as long as the contract runs, and afterwards for as long as the law or a possible dispute requires.
- Invoices and accounting records: seven years, as the law requires.
- Server logs: briefly, and only as long as needed for security.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing and to data portability. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
To do so, send an email to hello@unbusy.be. We reply within one month. If we are not sure of your identity, we may ask you to confirm it.
Making a complaint
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please talk to us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
If we change anything in this statement, we update the date at the top of the page.
